Adoption

Adoption Information

Adoption can be a difficult decision to make. However, it can truly create something beautiful out of a difficult situation. Adoption could be an option for you if any of the following are true:

  • You do not want an abortion but are not ready to be a parent
  • You are not financially secure enough to have a child
  • You are still in school or focused on your career
  • You do not have the proper support system in place

Choosing an adoption plan for your unexpected pregnancy is a practical and courageous decision to make.

How does adoption work?

There are different types of adoption; open, semi-open and closed. An open or semi-open adoption allows a working relationship between you, the adoptive family, and your child; while a closed adoption means there is no interaction between you once the child is born. It is your choice to decide the plan for your pregnancy. A counselor can work closely with you to determine if an adoption plan may be right for you.
