FAQ

Pregnancy Symptoms

Hope is the only thing stronger than fear.

How do I know if I’m pregnant?

Pregnancy symptoms are different for every woman, and some may not have any symptoms at all. Yet, the most common sign of pregnancy is a missed period. There are other typical symptoms that could identify the beginning stages of pregnancy including:

  • Fatigue
  • Nausea/vomiting
  • Tender/swollen breasts
  • Spotting
  • Aversion to certain foods
  • Cramping
  • Mood swings

If you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms, you might be pregnant. However, the only way to accurately determine if you are truly pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. The Aim Women’s Center will give you an on-site test free of charge.

How much will my appointment cost?

It is most important for us to get women like you the best care and support they need. That’s why all our services are free of charge. Even if you would like to make an appointment just to talk to someone about your options, you will not need to bring any form of payment with you.

Can I bring someone with me?

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your visit at Aim Women’s Center. You are welcome to bring a friend, significant other, sibling, family member or parent with you to your appointment.

Can I be pregnant and have an STD?

Yes, unfortunately you can be pregnant and have an STD at the same time. In fact, having an untreated STD while pregnant can be a serious harm to you and to your pregnancy. If you’ve had unprotected sex with a high-risk sexual partner or shared needles, you should get tested immediately.

Will my insurance company know about my appointment?

Because our services are free of charge, it is not necessary for us to see an insurance card or any form of payment when you come in for your appointment. This way, we can be sure that you get the resources and services you need in a completely confidential manner.

What if I don’t know my next steps?

We understand! It is common for women come to us without knowing what to do next. Your best first step is to make an appointment with us to get a no cost pregnancy test and talk about your options. We will provide you with the resources necessary for you to make the best and most informed decision!
