Why so Blue?

There are times in all of our lives when we step back and take a look at where we’ve been and more importantly where we are heading.

  • It is not uncommon to feel loss - loss of self, loss of virginity, loss of innocence, loss of childhood – when we are sexually active outside of marriage.
  • You, are a human person, created unlike any other, created with the amazing capacity to think and reason, to make decisions, to act on these decisions, and literally change who you are and the course of your life.
  • It is never too late to start over.   If you are feeling blue due to this type of loss, please call us and give us the opportunity to listen to your experience and share with you ways that can help you start over – you are a precious unique individual, who deserves more than what you are presently experiencing by giving your sexuality away.
  • Sometimes we experience this loss not by our own choice initially but from a past sexual trauma.   This trauma can lead to a loss of self worth that then leads to depression and destructive, risky behavior.
  • You may also be experiencing the sorrow, shame and guilt from a past abortion.  Maybe you have suffered in silence, not knowing where to turn.  Click here to learn more.

The AIM Women’s Center invites you to contact us at 740-283-3636, about the resources we have to offer you.  Our programs: Sexual Integrity, Steps to Sexual Health, Boundaries and Rachel's Vineyard Retreats can be a source of hope for you whatever your experience has been.   We are willing to walk with you on a one on one basis – or if you have friends that are also in need of this resource, you may consider coming in as a group.   Many of our clients that have gone through these programs often make the comment that they wish someone would have given them this information a long time ago, before they started on the path they are now on.   Click here for more info on Starting over.
